A donation to a local organization will now help several children in Butte County.

CHICO, Calif. – The From the Ground Up Farms organization in Chico received a check for $ 2,000 from cannabis dispensary Perfect Union.
“I’m always honored that someone sees what we are doing and can appreciate what we are doing for the community,” says Lowrey, co-founder of From the Ground Up Farms.
Lowrey says the money will go to the organization’s Kentfield program, which teaches children how to grow and even cook different vegetables and fruits.
Every child involved with the Kentfield program is directly involved with the garden, and they’re the ones who plant and cultivate it.
The money will help the organization buy new rakes, shovels, and other gardening supplies.
The money will also help buy new art supplies and new tables, which Lowrey says he has been trying to replace in the city of Concow since they lost that equipment in the Camp fire.
“We don’t have unlimited funding for this program, so this particular donation is needed. We asked the universe for it. “
“Our children need help and they got it, so we couldn’t be more grateful for this donation,” says Lowrey.
The funds will also be distributed among the other 16 gardens that the organization has planted in the city.
Lowrey says the food they grow in the Kentfield garden is free to the entire community.

CHICO, Calif. – La organización ‘From the Ground Up Farms’ en Chico recibió un cheque de $2,000 de parte del dispensario de cannabis ‘Perfect Union’ o unión perfecta.
“Siempre me siento muy honrada de que alguien vea lo que estamos haciendo y pueda apreciar la ayuda que le estamos ofreciendo a la comunidad,” dice Lowrey, co-fundadora de ‘From the Ground Up Farms.”
Lowrey dice que el dinero irá al programa Kentfield de la organización, que le enseña a niños como cultivar y cocinar diferentes vegetales y frutas.
Cada niño involucrado con el programa Kentfield está directamente involucrado con el jardín, y ellos mismos son quienes plantan los cultivos.
El dinero ayudará a la organización comprar nuevos rastrillos, palas y otros suministros de jardinería.
El dinero también ayudará comprar nuevos materiales de arte y nuevas mesas, lo cual Lowrey dice que ha estado tratando de reemplazar en la ciudad de Concow desde que perdieron ese equipo en el incendio Camp.
“No tenemos fondos ilimitados para este programa, entonces esta donación en particular es justo. Se lo pedimos al universo.”
“Nuestros niños necesitan ayuda y aquí vinieron, así que no podríamos estar más agradecidos por esta donación,” dice Lowrey.
Los fondos también serán repartidos entre los otros 16 jardines que la organización ha instalado en la ciudad.
